THACO has introduced the first Mercedes-Benz luxury bus model to the Vietnamese market. The bus comes in two versions: 120S and 120SL. The 120S version offers 47-seat and 24 VIP seat options, while the 120SL version offers 34 sleeper berths and 22 VIP sleeper berths options.

Mercedes-Benz buses manufactured at the THACO BUS factory are based on the O500 1836 and O500 1843 chassis, with modifications to suit the climate and intended use of the Vietnamese market.
The Mercedes bus features a European-style exterior design, a large grille, and an illuminated three-pointed star logo. The headlights have a modern design. The monocoque chassis reduces weight and increases rigidity. While the exterior is similar across versions, the interior design varies. The taillights have a unique design.
The Mercedes bus is equipped with an OM457LA engine, producing 430 horsepower and 2,100 Nm of torque. The engine meets Euro 5 emission standards. It uses a 6-speed GO 210 transmission, specifically designed for buses, with integrated pneumatic power shifting. The bus features four shock absorbers on the front axle suspension and separate shock absorbers for the steering system. Safety features on the Mercedes bus include traction control, cruise control, Voith-assisted hydraulic brakes, and front and rear disc brakes with ABS and EBD. As a passenger bus, the cockpit is quite simple, with a four-way adjustable steering wheel, a driver-oriented control panel, and an air-cushioned driver's seat depending on the version.
The interior is minimalist with a multi-directional patterned ceiling light system. The cockpit features a four-way adjustable steering wheel, an Android infotainment screen, and a series of switches controlling the lights, air conditioning, windows, and more.
Passenger seats and beds are researched and designed to suit market needs, such as leather seats, charging ports, headphone jacks, personal storage compartments, individual entertainment screens, massage seats, or even toilets in the highest-end versions.
