PLACES WITH UNIQUE AND PROUD FEATURES IN HAI PHONG

In Vietnam today, managing a historical site to be litter-free is unusual, but the Bach Dang Giang historical site is not only that, but it is also famous for its "three no's": No entrance fee - No litter - No food stalls. There are many "no's" here, yet they don't bother or cause complaints from tourists.

Located within the Trang Kenh scenic area, the Bach Dang Giang historical site is formed by a series of limestone mountains, caves, and interconnected rivers. As a land rich in history and culture, it is not only a spiritual destination attracting numerous visitors from all over, but also a place for sightseeing and seeking peace, a temporary escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

2. An Hong Pagoda - An Duong, Hai Phong

Additionally, there is a unique temple in Hai Phong that stands out for reasons rarely found in other temples:

Summer retreats for young people are held annually at An Hong Pagoda.

• Say no to allowing guests to burn incense and paper money.
• Say no to offering meat as part of the religious ceremony. All offerings must be vegan.
• Say no to placing money on the altar or small plates. All altars have signs reminding people, "Please kindly put money in the donation box," "Beware of thieves"...
• Everywhere there are signs reminding people to "Please keep quiet and do not make noise."
• The temple has no Wi-Fi, and it's not decorated in an elaborate, colorful, or eye-catching way like other temples, most of which are visited primarily for sightseeing and taking photos.
• It is the only pagoda in Hai Phong with a Western Pathway for visitors to follow in a maze around five giant Buddha statues, with Amitabha Buddha music played 24/7.
• The temple is located in a remote area, almost completely isolated from the outside urban world. You'll find it less crowded than other places.
• Free vegetarian meals are available for everyone on major temple holidays.
• The monks will be everywhere preaching, spreading the Dharma, encouraging you to recite the Buddha's name. When your heart speaks, the Buddha knows; you don't need to register your name for meritorious deeds.

We invite everyone to visit An Hong Pagoda , located in An Hong commune, An Duong district, near Quan Toan. The pagoda is built on a large, beautiful, and solemn area. It is also a place where young people participate in summer retreats to learn and understand the beautiful teachings of Buddhism.

Going to the temple is to repent for sins committed over many lifetimes, to pray for health, peace, and spiritual well-being; not to pray for wealth or riches!
